Talking Kamala Harris to Republicans
Your go-to source of clips and quotes for talking to persuadable Republicans and making your case in the 2024 election.
Congressman Joe Walsh joined our 5th national phone bank to thank volunteers and give us a pep talk before speaking with voters in Wisconsin!
Thankful for volunteers like Aluna
Volunteering with the phone bank has been a surprisingly powerful experience. It’s not just about making calls—it’s about having real conversations with people who are genuinely wrestling with their choice in this election. You can feel the weight of it when you talk to folks. Some are worried, some are hopeful, but they’re all trying to figure out which direction feels right.
That’s exactly why our voices as Republicans for Harris are so important. When we pick up the phone, we’re offering something different—a chance to talk things through, to share why we believe Harris is the better choice. It’s not about pushing someone to change their mind on the spot, but about showing them that there are Republicans out here who are thinking this through too.
I was especially touched by something that happened during our phone bank this week. It was our 5th national call, and there’s a volunteer who’s been so positive and active for the last several calls—she has this really bright energy. When Aluna called in this time, she had the same upbeat attitude, but the room was all dark. Turns out, she’s volunteering from Florida and is in the path of the hurricane. She said, “As long as I have power, I’m going to volunteer to support Kamala Harris.” That’s dedication to democracy.
This election is about so much more than just one candidate. It’s about people coming together, even when things get tough, to make sure their voices are heard. That’s why we’re dialing away, sharing our stories, and listening. Together, we’re shaping the future, one phone call at a time.

60 MINUTES: Would you meet with President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a solution to the war in Ukraine? VP HARRIS: Not without Ukraine, no. Ukraine must have a say in the future of Ukraine.
VP Harris says since Donald Trump canceled his interview with 60 Minutes, voters should watch his rallies instead. “You're going to hear conversations that are about himself and all of his personal grievances,” she said. “What you will not hear is anything about you.”
Harris reinforced that point, “I have been traveling our country. And I have been listening to folks and seeking what is possible in terms of common ground. I believe in building consensus.”

The Washington Post: Why Trump is losing his edge among voters on the economy [Catherine Rampell, 10/8/24]
Trump probably hasn’t helped his case by pitching ever-higher global tariffs, which would probably be passed on to consumers in the form of higher prices. Independent economic analyses have also found that the rest of his agenda (mass deportations, politicizing the Federal Reserve, etc.) would probably worsen inflation and depress growth.

“I know that the most conservative of conservative values is fidelity to our constitution,” Cheney said. The crowd broke into a chant: “Thank you, Liz!” A large sign looming over them declared: “Country over Party.”
“I know that she will be a president who will defend the rule of law. And I know that she will be a president who can inspire all of our children—and if I might say so, especially our little girls—to do great things,” Cheney said. “So help us right the ship of our democracy so that history will say of us, when our time of testing came, we did our duty and we prevailed because we loved our country more.”
